Big solar-plus-storage comes to Taiwan
Taiwanese module maker URE Corp is planning to link a 150 MW solar plant to a 15 MW/15 MWh storage facility.Taiwanese solar cell and module maker United Renewable Energy Corp (URE) has announced it has won a tender held by state-owned utility Taiwan Power Company for the deployment of a 15 MW/15 MWh storage facility which, when built, will become Taiwan s largest storage project for a single site. The project will be implemented in partnership with Taiwan-based power electronics specialist Shihlin Electric and Engineering Corporation, Swiss battery manufacturer Saft, and Underwriters Laboratories, .

Data obtained by bouncing radio waves off Venus - treating it, as one scientist said, like a giant disco ball - is providing new insight into Earth s closest planetary neighbor, including a precise calculation of the duration of a Venusian day.
The study also measured the tilt of the Venusian axis and size of the planet s core, allowing for a deeper understanding of an enigmatic world sometimes called Earth s evil twin.

An unusual-looking vessel docked in Morro Bay over the weekend.
The Energy Observer is covered in solar panels and also runs on wind and hydrogen power.
The experimental vessel is on an expedition to find concrete, innovative, and successful solutions in favor of energy transition.
Morro Bay was a detour for the crew on board. According to their Instagram post, they docked in Morro Bay because of unexpected windy weather while headed to San Francisco from Long Beach.
